Weightlifting Canada Haltérophilie is saddened to learn of the passing of Sébastien Groulx, a father, husband, coach, and longtime member of the Canadian national team. An Olympian, he helped build a culture of excellence at Club Fortius in Brossard, QC through many years of service and boundless energy. Our weightlifting community is impacted by his loss. The Team Selection document has been updated for all 2025 events. Notable changes include:- Commonwealth Championships being moved from International Level 1 to International Level 2 competition - Maximum number of athletes per gender on teams generally limited to 8 athletes instead of the previous 10Read the full document linked in bio for all the updated information.
